Read a Message From Our Principal
It is with great honor and pride to introduce myself as your principal.
My name is Mrs. Amy LaQuerre and I am a proud resident of Windsor. I reside here with my husband Christopher, our dog Sophia and our chickens. I have been an educator for 20 years. I was a special education teacher for many years before I moved into leadership where I most recently served as a special education supervisor.
As a child, I was blessed to attend parochial schools from kindergarten through 12th grade and then attended Salve Regina for my undergraduate degree. I am certified in general education K-6th grade and special education K-12th grade. I also carry a reading and language arts certification as well as my administrative certification.
As I reflect on my own experiences as a student, I remember the strength and security I felt in our community. We were a family and the support I received from my teachers over the years is why I wanted to become an educator. As your leader, it is my priority to have each student, family, and staff have that sense of community. I welcome opportunities to meet members of our community. Please feel free to set up a time to meet to share your experiences, any concerns you may have or suggestions as we prepare for the school year ahead.
As our vision states, we empower students to be informed, ethical and compassionate leaders who possess a lifelong love of learning, a dedication to service and a commitment to Catholic values in an ever-changing world.
As your principal, I will work with all stakeholders involved in our community to ensure that our vision is implemented with fidelity daily. God has blessed us with our wonderful students, and it is our job to maximize their academic experiences along with Christ’s calling.
I am looking forward to meeting you and excited for the upcoming school year.
God Bless You and Your Family,
Mrs. Amy LaQuerre

"Both of our kids are succeeding here and enjoying it every day. We just learned that SGS students tested at +1.5 grade levels higher than the national average. We are fortunate to have this school in Windsor."
