Acceptance Policy

If students meet the academic criteria in those documents and successfully go through the remainder of the admissions process, admission will be granted. Priority will be given to the following:

  • Families with children already attending St. Gabriel School
  • St. Damien Parishioners
  • Students from other Catholic parishes
  • Students whose parents/guardians are alumni of the school
  • Students who are not affiliated with a Catholic Parish

If you have questions, please call us today at (860) 688-6401.

This scholarship will continue for your child through 8th grade at St. Gabriel School as long as your child remains in good academic standing (passing grades or better), the family continues to show financial need for the scholarship (annually), your child shows good character and as not had disciplinary issues and your family does not leave the school. Maximum award is $2000 per child.

3. PRIORE TRUST SCHOLARSHIPS

Any family whose children have completed a year's enrollment in kindergarten or above and will be enrolled in grades 1 through 8 at St. Gabriel’s School the following year is eligible to apply. There are no requirements regarding parish or religious affiliation. Maximum award is $1000 per child as long as financial need is shown.

4. TUITION ASSISTANCE FROM ANONYMOUS DONORS

Any family whose children are enrolled in grades K-8 who show a financial need will be eligible for tuition assistance. Maximum assistance is $2000 per family.

Foundation of the Advancement of Catholic Schools (FACS)
FACS was founded in 1983 and its mission is to support and assist parish schools and the Archdiocesan High Schools by providing funding for scholarships and special projects. FACS believes that Catholic Schools provide an "education for a lifetime". Their scholarships are made possible by many generous donors who believe that Catholic Schools provide students with an outstanding, value-based education.

How to Apply for Financial Assistance

A Facts Management Grant and Aid application must be completed to be considered for aid from all sources. This form must be submitted via Facts Management which is a confidential service provided by Facts that helps schools to assess a family's need for financial assistance based on the information provided to Facts Management Grant and Aid by the family. Depending on the assessment of the information provided, the school will notify families of any aid granted.

For the upcoming 24-25 school year, the application deadline for tuition assistance requests is August 1, 2024. There is a $40 fee to apply via Facts Management. If you need to request financial assistance outside of the Facts Management application period, please contact Ms. Donna Weeks at [email protected].

*Please Note: All tuition grants are applied to the end-of-year tuition payments. Tuition grants are the last monies applied to your tuition accounts. If you receive tuition assistance and do not complete the school year with us, the grant will be rescinded and the money will be awarded to another family in need. For more information on any of these grants/scholarships, contact Ms. Donna Weeks at [email protected].
